The R2D2 I’ve been hyping on the site for weeks becomes a casualty, as some super drunk guy rips his legs off and places them in Matt Pappas’ pocket. In response, during the stop-time of “Astrovan,” drummer Cole stands up with the most intense look on his face and calls out the guy, screaming “YOU BREAK IT YOU BUY IT!” Seamlessly, he jumps back into the song, slamming the snare so hard you can tell he’s imagining it’s the guy’s head. The result is one of the most intense sets I’ve ever seen. Before the band closes with “Memory Banks,” Josh thanks everyone, saying it’s been the best night of his life.
